Bringing the art outdoors.
Downtown Toledo is a flurry of activity during the summer. Baseball games, patio dining, outdoor concerts and an active waterfront bring people to downtown from across the region. For many of those visitors, it means driving down Monroe Street and past the Toledo Museum of Art.
Located less than two miles from the river, the Museum’s campus serves as a gateway to Toledo’s downtown and warehouse districts. To help connect TMA to Downtown Toledo—and contribute to its revitalization in the process—six large-scale vinyl murals were installed on buildings found in this two-mile stretch.
The project was a collaboration with Art Corner Toledo and Off Contact, with financial support from ProMedica.
